Brian Sterling-Vete is widely regarded as a preeminent authority on isometric exercise and is a seasoned strength training, fitness consultant, and bodybuilding coach, boasting 22 published books and a library of instructional online videos.

 

As perhaps the foremost authority on isometric exercise, he is credited for inventing the advanced TRISOmetric©™ system which is a unique fusion of isometric and super-slow isotonic exercise, and in effectively using it to train Jon Pall Sigmarsson, 4-time World’s Strongest Man. 

 

Brian earned recognition as a 'Top 10 Fitness Expert' in 2015/16, with a history of managing 6 thriving gyms and as an authority on isometric exercise. His coaching spans national, international, and world champions in strength training, bodybuilding, and martial arts.

 

Collaborating with Olympic coach Wilf Paish, Brian pioneered the Super Bodypower sports supplement brand in the 1980s with Healthilife Ltd. Drawing from his combined knowledge of exercise and video production led to Brian producing instructional training films for entities like Sports Coach UK, Coachwise, and YMCA Fit. Notably, he authored "The Weight Training Dictionary" in 1990.

Brian has designed commercial gym and fitness equipment for major UK manufacturers and fitness installations for companies and organisations including The Royal Navy.  He is a consultant to The Bullworker Company which produces one of the world’s best-selling and most iconic exercise devices with over 10 million units sold since it was launched.


Brian is known for his direct, no-nonsense approach that is not always politically correct and far from the typical ‘warm and fuzzy bedside manner’ most politically correct coaches take.  This approach is frequently attractive to the TV and print media when they want to shock people out of their complacency and into action to get results quickly.  This is reflected in one of his best-selling books on the subject ‘The 70 Second Difference: The Politically Incorrect, Brutally Effective, and Occasionally Amusing Guide to Exercise, Diet’.  


As a leading authority on the subject, Brian is one of the founders of, and consultant to TWiEA (The World Isometric Exercise Association) which has been successfully working with and piloting The Workout at Work©™ exercise initiative with the NHS – National Health Service in the UK.
